At the Park...

Despite our very serious look upon arriving at the park this morning, Harrison LOVED swinging for the first time...  He was fascinated with the little boy in the swing next to him and all of the children playing in the park.  It was a beautiful day that ended with big smiles!!!

The One with the Giant Carrot...

With a little boy who is crawling and pulling up on everything in the house, I did not put out a lot of my Easter decor this year, but I did do a little.  It was nice to have a little 'spring' around the house after the long winter.  Now if outside will just catch up...

H's painted basket and his first egg inside.  The candy jar had jelly beans in it at one time, but hubby has taken care of that!  The little chicks were made by my grandmother, I love getting them out each year.

My collection of hand painted eggs has grown so much over the years, this year I decided to stop with my collection and start Harrison's.

I always have a hard time decorating this side table... It is not very 'decorated', but I was so excited to finally get photos in the house of all of H's cousins.  And of course a few of him too.

And last, a little color for the front door.  I don't think the Easter bunny will miss us, do you?

Our Month - In Photos

It's the end of February? Winter is almost over? Spring is coming soon? Where have I been, what have I been doing?!? Oh yeah, going back and forth to the doctors office and pharmacy, changing sheets, washing endless loads of laundry, forcing medicine down the throat of a little one, sleeping in a rocker most nights, and cuddling with a very sick little boy! Since Christmas we have had rsv, the stomach virus, an ear infection and teething, teething and more teething. We have been wanting to spend some time together as a family, but this is just not what I had in mind!

Here are a few photos to sum up our month...

It's nice to have a buddy to lay around with when you don't feel well.

Of course, when the grandparents come to stay with you it helps a LOT!

At least we felt well enough to celebrate Valentines Day! (H had to go to school and see his sweetheart after all...)

And being home a lot this month gave H plenty of time to practice his crawling...

When we did feel better we went to visit family.

They were happy to see us, however I wonder if they still feel that way?!? (They all came down with the stomach virus following our visit...)

We are looking forward to spring, and NO MORE GERMS!!!

Love (this sweet boy!)

Eight Months!

Harrison - You are Eight Months Old!

Here is what you have been up to...

You have been eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with a snack in the afternoon. You are still not a fan of the sippy cup, but love to toss it on the kitchen floor. You have been excited about all the new snack foods we have been giving you, daddy and you have a common love for cheerios!

You started crawling on your eight month birthday! We are having a hard time keeping up, you are very fast when there is somewhere you want to be. You follow us into every room and love to see what is going on. I see baby gates in our near future...

You love to go to your little preschool class a few days a week. You are having lots of fun with the other kids, especially now that most of you can play together. You think everyone is funny and love your teachers. I am right across the hall, but you do not pay me much attention when we are there. You are just too busy to notice me.

This winter has been tough. You have had a respiratory infection, an ear infection and the stomach virus. But most days you would have never known you were sick, you still had the biggest smile on your face! We are so blessed that you are a happy, content little boy. It is exciting the see all the new things you are discovering that you can do.

8 Month Stats:

Weight: 18.10 pounds

Six Month (I Mean Seven Month) Photos...

I had every intention of having Harrison's six month photos taken last month. However having rsv for two weeks put that on hold! And I learned fast that when your child is sick, your priorities change. So instead, he is seven months and still just as cute. Here are a few of his photos...

Seven Months!

Harrison - You are Seven Months Old!

Here is what you have been up to...

You are growing so fast and learning so much!
You are at a very fun stage right now and everything is exciting and new.

You have started eating three meals a day and love everything you have tried so far. We have been giving you a cup with juice, but you don't have the hang of it yet. That doesn't keep you from having fun with it though. You sleep so good at night, going to bed around 7:00 and awaking around 6:00. Most mornings you wake and play in your bed until one of us comes to get you, sometimes you are not as patient.

You are getting around! Between rolling and scooting on your tummy, you can usually get to where you want to go. You started sitting up this month and are very happy to be able to sit and play with some new toys. Your favorite toy right now is your barnyard activity walker, you love the music and lights!

You get very excited about everything! You give the biggest hugs (and hair pulls)! And you always have a big smile for anyone who looks your way. We are so proud of you and thankful that you are such a happy boy!

(And Santa did bring you that tooth, plus another!!!)
